The Hay Diet was devised by Dr. William Hay, in the early 1920's.
The Hay Diet plan was generally a healthy-eating plan which had the added benefit of stimulating weight loss.
It's main principle is that certain food types, such as proteins and carbohydrates, should not be consumed simultaneously, as different foods require different conditions in order to be properley digested.
